We take great care in making every pet's first visit a positive one. Our staff uses positive reinforcement and gentle introductions to help new guests acclimate. We encourage you to bring a comfort item from home and provide us with details about your pet's personality and habits to make their transition smoother. The first day of daycare or boarding is a big day for your pet! Just like the first day of school, it's a mix of excitement, new friends, and new experiences. We work to make sure they feel comfortable and have a great time as they get used to their new surroundings.
We would love to show you around Paw Paw's Country Pet Resort! We pride ourselves on maintaining an exceptionally clean and welcoming facility, and we know you'll want to see where your furry friend will be staying. You're welcome to call and request a tour during our regular lobby hours. Or call to schedule a specific tour time. We look forward to meeting you and your pet!
What to Bring for Your Pet's StayWe want your pet to feel right at home with us! Here are a few things to keep in mind when packing for their stay:Food:To help prevent an upset tummy, we highly recommend bringing your pet's regular food from home. Please pre-bag and label each meal portion individually.Don't have enough food? We can provide our high-quality, easily digestible house kibble (Science Diet) for an additional $3.00 per day.Raw Diets: We are unable to feed raw meat diets.Bedding & Toys:We provide comfortable bedding for all our guests. For safety, we do not accept rawhide treats or marrow bones, as they can be a choking hazard.Important Note: While we take every precaution, we are not responsible for any loss or damage to items left with your pet. We appreciate your understanding!
We believe playtime is essential for a happy pet! At Paw Paw's Country Pet Resort, your dog can join group play sessions with other dogs of a similar size and temperament. These supervised sessions are a great way for them to socialize and have fun.If your dog prefers to play alone, we also offer individual one-on-one play sessions. For our feline friends, playtime is always done individually or with other cats from their own family. You can also purchase additional playtimes for your pet to ensure they get all the fun and exercise they need during their stay.
Yes! Similar to children playing in school, your dog will get dirty, particularly in wet or humid weather. Lighter colored dogs will obviously appear dirtier than the others, but they will all get equally dirty. A dirty dog is a good indication that he or she was active and playing with their friends. While we do wipe down the dogs and give them a little spritz of dry shampoo/pet cologne at the end of their visit, We recommend adding a Woof Wash before they go home, you can add this service to any day or overnight booking.
